LIFE @ IMNU
As the lines of demand and supply graph begin to move in my
book I realize its tym to sleep…I check the clock, its already 3a.m in the
morning and with lecture at 8 I know dozing of in the class is imminent. But I take
the risk of staying awake a little bit more to record the past fortnight at
IMNU.
The usual day starts at 7 a.m for some like me when most of
the guys are already searching for the lock and keys. With squabbles over
bathroom turns and calling out to each other to GET READY we finally finish
getting ready…A quick stroll to the mess which is already teeming with people
and large queues at the food counter you decide the strategy of how to have
breakfast without being late to the first lecture….over cups of tea and food
from various plates we eventually get ready to face the imminent…LECTURES….
75 mins lectures…..with a couple of people dozing off…while
couple of people doing P.T with their arms….dumb
sharade games….and a couple of sincere faces trying to get the most of these 75 mins…..now
comes the 15 mins break….time to exchange books ,notes, calculators from
adjacent sections….catching up on gossips…planning for group projects….and
trips to washroom....
The most awesome time of the day is 12.15 p.m……its when we
eventually wind up the lectures….and the grumbling stomachs lead every1 to the
mess….where over food people catch up on the latest happenings….decide on group
meetings….clubs and commits interviews…
The sight of the bed invokes sleep like a witchcraft…..waking
up you realize that the ultimate load of pre reads, projects and assignments
await you…..you open your laptop still half asleep to realize an interview has
been scheduled or an assignment has come ….now sleep is the last thing that is
gonna come :/ ..
Solving balance sheets and WAC assignments in groups is the
ultimate thing because at the end of the discussion you realize that the work
is still left while you were busy discussing a petty affair…..And to top it all
you have TASKS assigned to you by various clubs and committees which demand your
equal attention….. So you call group meetings and surf the already BLOCKED
internet in hopes of finding solutions….
With the sports infrastructure that of IMNU you just cant
stay away from playing…..you name a sport and we have an infra for that….and to
top it a ICEBREAKKING tournament acted as essential medium to get us relaxed
from the regular schedule…..
Late night teas and snacks…..game of footballs……discussion
over a host of affairs you realize that the pre reads are still left so you
lock your room so that nobody acts as a disturbance ……and you realize that you
were biter of outside having fun because the content is just like a bottle of
COREX(sleep inducing)….
With an alarm set for waking up early the next day….you fall
asleep hoping that the day could just get extended by a couple of hours so that
you could catch on your sleep….
.Luks lyk becoming a manager is gonna be one
hell of a task….. ;)
